MesoLens

How MesoLens works and stays safe

MesoLens only looks at your screen. It never opens, reads or changes the game, and it never plays for you.

How it sees the game

MesoLens takes pictures of your screen with the same screen capture Windows and macOS give OBS, Discord screen share or any streaming program. On your PC, it reads the numbers and text in those pictures (prices in a shop, your EXP bar, your potions) and shows what it found in its own windows, on top of the game. It's a separate program: the game doesn't know it's there.

What it never does

  • Open the game's process, or read or change its memory
  • Inject code, hook the game or change its files
  • Press keys, click, move the mouse or play for you: no bots, no macros, no auto-buy
  • Answer a lie detector for you
  • Help with real-money trading

What leaves your PC

Pictures of your screen stay on your PC, unless you send a problem report (it carries a few pictures to help fix the problem, and you choose to send it). What MesoLens shares is listed in the privacy policy: mainly the prices of the shops you open, so everyone gets live prices, and only what you turn on (rankings, your shop, shared grinds). You can turn sharing off in Settings.

Check it yourself

  • In Task Manager, MesoLens runs as its own program, apart from MapleStory.
  • MesoLens opens and works with the game closed (search, item cards, guides): it doesn't need the game to run.
  • The Windows installer is digitally signed, and the Mac version is signed and checked by Apple, so you know the file comes from us unchanged.
  • On a Mac, MesoLens asks only for Screen Recording, the same permission streaming programs ask for.

MesoLens is a fan-made tool. NEXON hasn't approved or endorsed it, and only NEXON decides how its terms apply to any third-party program, so using it is your call. Never use it to bot or to trade game items for real money.
